Two years ago, Frolic & Lark started with a pretty simple thought: our community needed more places for kids and families.
After moving to the Oregon coast, I quickly realized how few options there were for indoor play, especially during the rainy months. I also saw the growing need for child care and family spaces where people could gather, connect, and just be together.
I wanted to create something that felt different. A place where kids could run, climb, imagine, and explore. A place where parents didn't feel rushed or overwhelmed. A place that felt welcoming, exciting, and easy to enjoy.
That's what inspired Frolic & Lark.
Building this space has been a two-year journey full of construction, surprises, challenges, and more than a little second-guessing. There were definitely moments when it felt impossible. But every step along the way has reminded me why this matters.
My hope is that Frolic & Lark becomes more than just a business. I want it to be a place families grow up with. A place where community happens naturally.

The Story
Behind the Name
The name reflects exactly what I wanted this space to feel like. I came across the word "frolic" while searching for another way to describe play and loved its sense of joy and movement. "Lark" carries a similar meaning; to have a lark is to have fun and enjoy yourself. Together, they perfectly captured the feeling I hoped families would experience when they walked through the door.

Follow Along
Frolic & Lark is taking shape inside the historic Outpost Building in downtown Warrenton. What started as an empty space is becoming a vibrant indoor play studio and child care center designed for local families. Every wall, play area, and detail is being thoughtfully created with connection, creativity, and community in mind.
